A Thermoform top are made of an MDF panel that has been cut, routed and profiled as desired and then glued and covered with a vinyl form that is pressed to the top using heat and vacuum. The back of the table top is usually pre-laminated.  Vinyl wrapped overbed table tops have no joints (without gaps) as the vinyl goes all the way around the table top to eliminate the ingress of water and bacteria.

Another benefit of vinyl wrap tops is the fact that they are so easy to clean.  All you need to do is to give them a wipe with a soft sponge and some soapy water, and then dry them off afterwards.  There is no need to use heavy or harsh cleaners at all – in fact, doing so may actually damage the door!   If you have stubborn stains or marks that won’t come off with the soapy water, just gently wipe these off using methylated spirits.
